So I have this cousin that’s what we call a street girl, she’s a female that likes being in the streets all the time. And not in a good way but anyways that’s not what this is about. It’s about women that only seem to date or have relationships with men that are in & out of jail or prison all the time. And guys that are doing long stints in jail or prison & it’s mind blowing to me. That women actually find this actually find these men to be attractive or think that having a relationship with these kinds of men something they can see in their lives for a long period of time.
I mean done get me wrong, I’ve dated a guy that was/is still in prison. But I was with & knew him before he got locked up. And it wasn’t Something I could do for long. And definitely not Something I’ve ever went looking for or wanted in my life, I tried to make it work with the one guy & clearly I couldn’t do it & I’ll never be with a guy with a record ever again. Or a guy that goes to jail after we get together, just not for me.
I want better in my life & I know that I deserve better then that from a man. But women like my cousin seem to go out looking for these types of men because it’s something she does on a regular basis. I see letter from prisons from different men coming to our house on a regular basis. And I don’t get why she would want these kinds of men in her life or know what she THINKS they can offer her in the long run. It’s almost like desperation on her part.
To always deal with guys that are in jail or prison so much. And I get that she’s a street woman so that’s pretty much all that she’s going to ever come across. I know that you are what you do or who you hang out with. But I still don’t get it, I guess it could just be another one of those things in life that we’ll never understand. Some things are like that in life.
But seeing the latest prison inmate letter arrive at my house yesterday really made me think that I wanted to post this. And maybe somebody can give me a answer to these questions. What’s the appeal of a guy in prison of jail with these women?
